I normally plan out my holiday table settings just before the big day and thus, am only able to share them after the actual event. This year, I'm planning ahead, as we are having guests for Thanksgiving for the first time in many years. My parents will be here and I want them to feel special by attending to all of the details.

I love our fall centerpiece this year, so I'm keeping it for Thanksgiving dinner. I've had to replace a few of the little pumpkins, but overall, it has held up well.

I pulled out our wedding china and real silver because what says "special occasion" more than your fancy dishes? To warm up the setting, I layered a plaid flannel square that I made from fabric found at Joann's over a flax linen tablecloth. Pumpkin colored napkins found at Target earlier in the fall add another pop of color.

I selected my favorite etched goblets for the table. The etched sheaves of wheat design is perfect for Thanksgiving.

I made place cards for each setting as well as a "Thankful" list that I placed on top of each plate. The "Thankful" lists are one of my favorite traditions that we have as a family. Each person writes down the things that they are thankful for this year and reads them aloud during dinner.

As a Thanksgiving gift to you, I'm offering my place cards and Thankful lists as free downloads. Just click the links below & print. I've included very faint cut lines on the place card document so that they can be cut and folded evenly.
