I'm back, after an un-intended break. The snow that was so magical at first became a burden after weeks & weeks of it. Here in Virginia, even an inch or two of snow closes down the schools, putting my work & family life into a spin. I don't if it was exactly the snow or that I'm in the middle of adjusting to my new workplace, but I've been dealing with a lot of stuff. Some work stuff, some me stuff, but generally, stuff that hasn't felt good and hasn't motivated me to blog.
However, I *think* that spring might finally be around the corner (she said nervously, not quite believing it to be true) & things are looking up. The tulips and hyacinths are pushing up through the ground and I've seen buds on the trees. I'm hoping to make my first ever vegetable garden a reality in the near future. I have a few perennials on order that will be shipped when it is planting time. Maybe this re-birth thing will really happen after all.
We have been working on some projects around here that I'm anxious to share with you. There is an IKEA hack in the works, a few thrifty finds to share, and maybe a craft project or two. Glenn is about to start on the first of several planned built-ins that we are really excited about.
I'm looking forward to starting fresh.
