Hey there! I have good news for my blog readers (are you still out there??)...we got a new computer, so I now can download my photos at home! Yay! I'm hoping that this will mean more frequent posts.
It finally really feels like fall around here. The air is cold & crisp, it smells like leaves & fires in fireplaces. The leaves are starting to turn color too. It's just the beginning, so we have a few more weeks of beautiful color to come. I love this time of year & am savoring it.
I've been warming up my house with fall decor & smells. I changed out the silk forsythia in the green urn to berries & silk lantern branches.
The kitchen table centerpiece is now filled with textured gourds & jack-be-little pumpkins and the bowl on the dresser is the receptacle for the dried corn that we found on our pumpkin search in the country.
This glittery Trick or Treat sign will greet visitors to the kitchen.
These smiling pumpkins are on the dining room table & tucked in a corner of the kitchen. The one in the dining room holds a candle on the inside & will be glowing on Halloween night.
This is my favorite fall decoration, a roaring fire. Nothing makes me happier than to sit in our family room with Glenn & Hope, the fire roaring & crackling.
